What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Cookies
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to help better understand how users use the site. This data is then used to improve the shopping experience. We also use this data to determine what Google ads are effective so that we know how to better tailor ads in the future. (e.g. Moebius makes sci-fi kits. If we notice that many people are clicking on our ads for Moebius trucks we’ll tailor the ad to not show to people who are searching for sci-fi kits.)
We also use NewRelic Browser for monitoring the technical performance of the website. This data is used exclusively for fixing errors improving the speed of the site.
Who we share your data with
Absolutely nobody. The information collected from you during the order process will only be used to contact you regarding you order. Optionally, you can choose to sign up for our mailing list which contains announcements about updates to our inventory.
How long we retain your data
For users who sign up for an account, we also store the personal information you provide in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except you cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Credit card number, address, and name may be passed to our payment vendors for processing payments.
